Dandelion's Story

*** Please don’t use the “start your inquiry” button, scroll to the bottom for my email and a link to my adoption application ***

Dandelion has some questions for you:

1. Do you have a sense of humor?
2. Are you creative/handy/would you like to “cat-ify” your house/apartment?
3. Do you get a kick out of an uber-feline personality?

If this sounds like you, Dandelion may be your cat! This pretty little girl was found as a stray, and it has been a little bit of a journey figuring out what she wants in life. She is SUPER playful; she can turn anything from a shoe to an oven mitt to a piece of paper into a new favorite toy. She’s a busybody, always keeping tabs on you and finding ways to entertain herself. She is NOT a couch potato cat; she thrives on enrichment and entertainment, so will do best with humans who enjoy providing that kind of stimulation!

While she is a very affectionate lap cat, Dandelion does not always express her affection in the most appropriate ways. She was probably taken away from her mother and siblings too young and didn’t learn how to be gentle with her teeth and claws when playing. We are working on this, and her nibbles and bunny kicks definitely come from a place of love… but she does need savvy adopters who know how to disentangle/disengage from a cat who’s gotten overstimulated, and she’s not appropriate for a home with kids for that reason.

Dandelion is a sassy, endearing, endlessly entertaining kitty who really, REALLY loves her people. She is currently living with other cats and does well, although any potential feline friends should be on the higher energy/more playful end of the spectrum so she’s not too much for them. She’s also currently living with dogs. I’m happy to tell any potential adopters all about her quirks, but she really is a great cat who will thrive with the right people!

Please email Erin with questions: eharty@gmail.com. If you think you’d like to meet her, you can fill out an adoption application here: https://bit.ly/pigtowncats

Dandelion is not part of Walter Rescue but is being listed here as a courtesy.
