When help first arrived, only a few cats were removed, and the remaining cats—confused, scared, and suddenly without care—were left to fend for themselves. With windows left open, some cats tried desperately to survive as people outside attempted to feed them, but tragically many were unable to escape. Too many innocent lives were lost.<br/><br/>Our rescuer stepped in and saved Dasher and several of his siblings, bringing them to safety when they needed it most.<br/><br/>Despite everything he’s endured, Dasher is incredibly sweet and gentle. He’s a big, handsome tabby with a lovable chonky build and a calm, affectionate presence. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and has a soft, kind nature that shines once he feels safe.<br/><br/>Right now, Dasher is sadly living in a cage, not because he belongs there—but because there are simply too many cats and not enough foster homes.
