DAMON's Story
DAMON first came to the shelter as a handsome, dark grey, mystery man. He had been brought in as a stray by a kind heart who felt he was too handsome to be a street cat. He was cautiously friendly with staff, warming up eventually. And he was soon adopted. However, he apparently didn't want to give up his street life completely and kept getting out of the house. He would return but he then would beat up the other cat of the family. The family loved him, but they worried about his escaping and then picking on the other family cat. It was just too much.

DAMON likes being petted, after he checks you out, but he will make you work a little for it. Once he trusts you, he loves to lay in your lap, loves scratches and attention in general. He loves cuddling!

DAMON needs a someone who is up to the challenge of making the home difficult for him to get out. Perhaps he'd be more content if he had a cat enclosure where he could safely enjoy the fresh air, maybe some cat towers or toys to help him burn off some of his energy. He needs to be an only pet as he is a bit of a bully. DAMON would probably do best in a home with older or no children as he is apparently quick when he sees a chance to escape. DAMON does not like DOGS!

DAMON is FIV+ but can live a long and happy life. This is an autoimmune disease that cannot be passed to people or dogs. It is only passed to another cat by a deep bite wound, Once FIV+ cats are altered they become huge love bugs. They can live with other cats with no issues.

DOB-03/22 Entered shelter-03/25 Reentered-08/2026

If you are interested in adopting DAMON, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
