Dame Judy's Story

Dame Judy has come a very long way since being rescued from a parking lot on Christmas Day (2024) — talk about a holiday miracle. Since joining her foster home, she’s been quietly building confidence and learning that indoor life is pretty sweet. She currently lives with two other cats and does well alongside them, happily coexisting and occasionally joining in on treat-chasing fun. She could thrive as a solo cat soaking up a peaceful home, or with another respectful feline friend.

Dame Judy loves pets - especially while being fed (mealtime affection is the highlight of her day) and she enjoys chasing treats with her foster siblings. She’s unbothered by dogs and doesn’t mind a curious nose in her direction. Her favorite hobbies include watching boats drift down the East River, batting around catnip bird toys, and napping in the coziest sunny spots she can find.

While she’s very sweet, Dame Judy is still a shy girl and not much of a cuddle bug. She doesn’t love being picked up and appreciates humans who understand that trust takes time. She enjoys companionship on her own terms and would do best in a patient, calm home that respects her boundaries and lets her blossom at her own pace either with another kitty or as a solo cat.

If you’re interested in giving this resilient, quietly lovely girl the forever home she deserves, please fill out an application at https://www.greenpointcats.org/adoption-application
