Dallas (F)'s Story
Dallas began her journey as a devoted young mom, rescued alongside her three adorable kittens—Leah, Thea, and Oreo—near the home of one of our volunteers. Originally, she was meant to return to her outdoor colony after her spay surgery. But during her recovery, something special happened: we discovered that this gentle girl had the heart and potential to become a wonderful indoor companion. She just needed time, safety, and someone to show her that people can be trusted.

Months later, Dallas is blossoming.
She has learned to enjoy the quiet comforts of home life—curling up in cozy spots, watching the world from a sunny window, and slowly discovering the joy of human affection. With patience, she becomes a truly lovely lap cat, offering soft companionship to the person she trusts.

Dallas is still a sensitive soul. Shes nervous around small children but does well with older, calmer kids. She gets along with other cats but is very frightened of dogs. What she needs most is a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time—and that the reward is a deep, loyal bond with a cat who will love you with her whole heart.

We promise: giving Dallas the chance to feel safe and cherished will be worth every moment.

Dallas was born on September 27, 2022, is up to date with vaccines, spayed, negative for FIV/FELV and microchipped. She can be seen in her foster home by appointment or on the days she is at PetSmart Forest Ave for adoption events
SICAW will be at PetSmart Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 2:30 to 5p.m and Sunday June 28, 2026 from 12 noon to 3pm.
For more information about SICAWs adoption process or to fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.sicawsaves.org/adoption-process or contact SICAW at 718.948.5623, Mon-Sat 9am-8pm.
