Dale's Story

Dale is a young black “panther” with a playful spirit, a gentle heart, and a deep love for people. Rescued at just 4 weeks old, he has grown into a healthy, curious, affectionate young cat who wants to be wherever his humans are.

True to his panther looks, Dale is sleek, athletic, and loves to explore — but he’s just as happy curled up beside you, purring contentedly. He is incredibly sweet, social, and thrives on companionship. If you’re looking for a cat who will follow you from room to room, greet you at the door, and happily snuggle up at bedtime, Dale is your boy.

Dale recently injured the tip of his tail and has had surgery to repair it. As a result, his tail is a little shorter than before, but it’s still beautifully fluffy and expressive — and it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He has recovered wonderfully and is feeling great. Most importantly, his loving personality is completely unchanged. He is still the same affectionate cuddle-bug, playful companion, and devoted little shadow.

Healthy, resilient, and full of love, Dale is ready to find a forever home where he will be cherished as the special boy he is. His “shorter” tail just makes him extra unique — and extra purrfect.

If you’re ready for a loyal, loving companion with panther looks and a marshmallow heart, Dale is waiting to meet you.

Love at First Purr's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best match between our cats and their future families. We start with a pre-screening application, followed by an interview (virtual or in-person) to learn more about the adopter’s experience and home environment. Once an applicant is deemed suitable, we arrange virtual or live visits with the cat and conduct a home check to ensure a safe environment. References may be checked as needed. If approved, the adopter completes an adoption agreement, and we provide medical records and post-adoption support to ensure a smooth transition. We are committed to placing our cats in loving, responsible homes and remain a resource for adopters after the adoption is finalized. If for any reason an adopter can no longer keep their cat, we require that the cat be returned to our rescue.
