Dakota 2's Story

Dakota 2
F, 4 years

Dakota is a sweet, gentle girl who just needs time to feel safe in a new environment. Once she trusts you, Dakota is incredibly loving—she'll greet you, make biscuits, and even come running if you play kitten sounds on your phone. She loves Churu treats, cat TV, interactive toys, and relaxing in a cat tree by the window. At night, she's happiest curled up at the foot of the bed near her person. She's still young and has so much potential to blossom with a patient, understanding adopter. Dakota is truly a sweetheart who just needs someone to give her a chance.

Dakota would do best in a home without young kids. She seems to enjoy calm cats and may benefit from a gentle feline friend. Dogs may be okay with slow introductions, but loud or active ones can scare her.

Dakota did test positive for FeLV (feline leukemia virus) but is overall healthy! She can live with other FeLV cats or those with the vaccine.
More info: https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/feline-leukemia-virus-felv-signs-prevention-prognosis?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3_5Iz_AjVxdBcJnAAirv-kiJ4srqliAUGMQzFACJMDSZxAkvNNJ_5bJ74_aem_1SFXndmPC2UjX-u1tXj1tw

Dakota is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV.
