Daisy's Story

Daisy could be your best friend! She is so sweet and has quite the gentle personality. Daisy loves cuddling at night in bed, she is quite curious and loves to be close by to her people and her 80lb lab best friend. She loves to watch the birds from the window and sometimes even makes little squeaks that sound just like the birds! She’s very talkative, she could talk to you all day if you want her too! She loves to play with her bell and feather toy and enjoys climbing very much. I have a feeling she will probably get along with just about any other animal you might have.. She is very shy at first and takes a few weeks to warm up but she’s very curious and quite the love bug once she warms up. She is a big kitty of over 12 lbs. From her previous owner: Daisy is a radiant, orange-tabby girl with a heart as open as her bright eyes. From the moment she was a kitten, she’s shown a gentle gift for connection, especially with other animals. Whether it was a visiting Great Dane or a curious squirrel outside the window, Daisy was always the first to say hello—softly, sweetly, without hesitation. She lived with another cat too. With people, she’s a little more reserved at first. But given time and kindness, she blooms. Once she decides you’re safe, she’ll offer you her whole self—curled-up naps nearby, soft purrs and the quiet comfort only a cat like her can give. Her meows are all so different it’s like she has a very extensive vocabulary! Daisy was adopted as a kitten but returned recently because her family is going through some difficult times. She is cautious and a bit confused but once you start petting her, she leans in hard for all the love she can soak up. She is curious, playful and tender in spirit. Daisy deserves a home that sees how special she is—someone patient and gentle, who will let her come to them in her own time, and who will cherish the way she brings calm and light to a room. Meet Daisy by completing an adoption application and a meet and greet can be scheduled in her foster home. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative. Also, many vets in the area will waive the office visit fee of the first wellness visit within 2 weeks of adoption.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
