Daisy's Story

Daisy is a 1 year old spayed female, shorthair tortiseshell cat.<br/><br/>Daisy was under-socialized as a kitten and has made great progress in coming out of her shell in her foster home!<br/><br/>She needs pet parents who are willing to work with her to gain her trust. She might always be a skittish cat, but she wants love and understanding from her human family.<br/><br/>In her foster home, she has learned to play with toys, such as the dangle wand with a bell and fish at the end. She enjoys chasing it around with her sisters. Currently, she loves the puff ball on a spring and carrying around a toy mouse. <br/><br/>She has blossomed into a cat who enjoys being petted and she will purr and knead while she is getting attention!<br/><br/>She loves hanging out in her high spot in the cat tree. She gets very excited when it is breakfast and dinner time for canned food!<br/><br/>She has lived with her littermates, Cindy and Daisy while in foster. She seems very happy with them and would do best if she was adopted with them. She and Cindy seem close as they play together!<br/><br/>Daisy does not like to be picked up. She is not very interested in laps, however that could change in the future, the more time she has in her home.<br/><br/>She does not have experience with dogs.<br/><br/>She would prefer a quiet home without children. Puyallup Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: - The first step, if you are interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats, is to fill out and submit an adoption application. You can request an application by emailing us or by sending an inquiry through Petfinder. A volunteer will contact you after it has been submitted to speak with you about your application and about the pet you are applying to adopt. - If you rent, we require your landlord's permission to adopt a dog or a cat. We require a completely fenced yard to adopt a dog. - After approval, all adopters must agree to and sign an adoption agreement. We do not adopt out pets as gifts unless the recipient is there to meet the pet themselves. - All pets are spayed or neutered before adoption. ADOPTION FEES: Cats over one year in age are $200. Kittens one year old and younger are $250. Cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, tested for FIV & Felv, and are given the vaccinations for Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). Dogs & puppies are $300.00 with an additional $50.00 obedience training refundable deposit. When you complete an accredited obedience class with your new dog or puppy, then we will send you back the $50.00 deposit. Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, and are given the vaccinations for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). We accept cash or check. Card payments are an additional fee of $5. ADOPTION EVENT LOCATIONS: Our rescue partners with the PetSmart in Sunrise Village located at: 10309 156th Street East Puyallup, WA 98373 Please check our Petfinder Pet List to see all of our cats and dogs that are available for adoption. Our adoptable dogs and cats stay in foster homes and they are brought to adoption events which are normally on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Sunrise PetSmart. Dogs are also brought to PetSmart's special adoption events. Please contact Puyallup Animal Rescue and not PetSmart to verify adoption status if you are interested in a specific pet. VOLUNTEERING: We are a foster home-based adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We rely on our network of volunteers to care for the animals until they find permanent homes. If you would like to foster for us, please email us and request a foster application! If you are unable to foster, there are other opportunities, such as attending and helping out at our bi-monthly adoption events.
