Dahlia & Poppy's Story
Dahlia & Poppy

We'd like you to meet the flower sisters. Dahlia is a siamese-x tortie point and Poppy is a domestic short hair calico. They are 10 months old and will be adopted together.

Their story began when they were rescued from a hoarding situation that included 33 cats and kittens in an apartment. Among the first group brought to safety were Dahlia and Poppy. Dahlia was affected by the herpes virus and her left eye has been severely impacted and she developed some ocular adhesions obliterating the primary entrance to the tear ducts.

These two girls know how to have fun! They can be heard bouncing and flopping around their cage and absolutely love toys. They will be such a lively and entertaining addition to someone's home!

Dahlia and Poppy have been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, viral tested and microchipped. Dahlia's eye will most likely have draining problems for the rest of her life, causing mild clear drainage and a watery eye appearance. She will possibly have flare ups from time to time which may require viral eye drops.

***

We are currently conducting in person adoptions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5pm (walk-ins welcome, but appointments prioritized). To reserve an appointment to adopt, please complete an application by visiting www.MeowCatRescue.org/adopt and submit to adopt@meowcatrescue.org
