Curry's Story

Curry is a beautiful red tabby. Unusual coloring for a girl, she is a lovely shade of rust red. She was born 8/11/21. She has been around kids, dogs, and other cats, and she gets along well with most. She can be a dominant bully to some cats, so please be prepared for extended introductions if you have other feline family members! Curry may do best as the only cat, but we are willing to adopt her to a multi-cat household if they're able to put in the time for more introductions.

Curry is a love bug and will follow people around begging for attention. She loves to be petted, but will only snuggle with her favorite people. Curry has a big purr an uses it frequently. She is often found at the top of a cat tree, and will reach out as people walk by if she wants attention. Curry is an avid hunter, she has caught mice. She would not be safe around small pets (hamsters, gerbils, etc.)

Unfortunately, Miss Curry has returned to us. She's spent the last few years being an emotional support pet for a disabled young man. Curry is returning to us through no fault of her own. The disabled young man is moving long distance to seek additional medical care, and a pet moving company quoted him $3000 to move Curry with him to his new home. It's heartbreaking when finances come between people and their beloved four-legged family members.

Curry's owner did note that she has occasional symptoms of asthma, but he did not seek a diagnosis. Our vet can only offer a referral to a specialist, but aside from occasional wheezing/coughing, she seems to be doing alright. It is worth noting, as she may require medication if her symptoms get worse.

Curry's last rabies vaccination was on November 16th, 2021 (she is overdue for a booster), and is microchipped. Curry has been spayed. We are now accepting applications for Curry; her adoption fee will be $100 to an approved home.

Silver Dragon Pets's Adoption Policy
If you've fallen in love with one of our adoptable animals, please fill out and email an application (available on our website)! We do require a veterinary reference, and a copy of your lease or rental if you do not own your home, to make sure pets are welcome. Please allow us up to one week to confirm your references and see if you are a suitable match for the pet you've chosen. If you match, we will proceed with an in-person meeting so you can meet the animal and get to know them. Sometimes it's an instant match, and sometimes personalities may clash. This is also a wonderful time for your other pets to meet on neutral ground to see if they get along. If your face-to-face meeting works out and everything looks good, you will be asked to sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. If the animal is ready to go, he or she can go home with you right away. If we're still waiting on further veterinary care (animals undergoing more extensive medical care, or those with pending spay/neuter surgery appointments), we will bring the animal back to his/her foster home until they are cleared for adoption, at which time they can go home with you. Puppies and kittens adopted before six months old will require a (refundable) deposit, which will be refunded when proof of spay or neuter is provided prior to the age of seven months, and microchip has been registered to the new owner. This deposit is $50 for kittens and $100 for puppies. This is paid in addition to the adoption fee. All kittens and puppies 12 weeks or over will receive a rabies vaccination prior to adoption. All cats and dogs are microchipped prior to adoption, regardless of age.
