Curie's Story

Curie is a very affectionate and loving cat who especially enjoys being close to her people and cuddling. She is generally calm and enjoys a comfortable, relaxed home environment. One of her most appealing qualities is how affectionate she becomes once she feels comfortable and secure. She is an indoor cat.

We adopted Curie from a shelter in Germany about 8 years ago. At the time, the shelter estimated that she was around 4 years old, so we believe she is approximately 12 now, although we do not know her exact age.

She moved with us from Germany to the United States and has been part of our family ever since. Unfortunately, that move was extremely stressful for her. We are now preparing to move again, and it is foreseeable that we may have to move several times within a relatively short period. Because Curie finds major changes and travel very stressful, we feel it would be kinder to find her a loving, stable home here rather than put her through several more long journeys and changes of environment.

This is a very difficult decision for us, and our main priority is finding a home where she will be loved and well cared for.

We believe Curie would do best in a calm, stable indoor home with someone who enjoys having an affectionate cat around and can give her regular attention and cuddles. She does not require constant entertainment, but she enjoys spending time with her people and being part of everyday life.

Because stability and a peaceful environment are particularly important to her, a relatively calm household would probably suit her best.

This is a very difficult decision for us, and our main priority is finding a home where she will be loved and well cared for.

Also we have little toddlers. But she doesn't care.

About 1.5 years ago, our veterinarian noticed a mild kidney issue. Her condition has since improved, but she should continue eating kidney-support / renal food as recommended by the vet. Other than that, she currently has no known health issues.

Curie is spayed and microchipped

We can also provide many of her existing belongings if wanted, including her automatic litter box, two cat trees, food bowls, automatic feeder, toys and other accessories. Having some of her familiar belongings may also help make the transition to a new home easier for her.

Curie is currently living in Palo Alto, CA 94304

For more information or to apply for Curie, please go to:
https://www.peninsulacatworks.org/adoption/cat.php?id=2305

[id=2305;ts=1790607642;src=pf]
