CUPID's Story

AGE: Young Adult - 1 year

DESCRIPTION: DSH White with Blue Mackeral Tabby

MY STORY:
Cupid is a sweet guy but he needs someone with a lot of patience and kitty experience and a home with cat-friendly kitties who will want to be his friend. This is the story his foster mom wrote for him:

Cupid. He definitely knows his name, but especially when I say "Cupie!" in a high pitch. He loves small soft toys and springs. He will carry them around in his mouth and toss them around in the air. He loves to wrestle with the other cats. He isn't always big on petting. He would rather lick your hand and clean your dirty human hand before you dirty up his nice white fur. He likes to be pet for a little bit, but usually tries to turn it into playing. He likes petting more if you're holding him. He likes to lay in bed with me, but isn't an in-your-face kinda cat. He loves wet food, and will yell at you the entire time he even remotely thinks you're going to give him any.

He really loves to look out the window to watch birds. If he hears them chirping outside he will run over to the window to watch them. He is very nosey with what goes on in the alley. He is constantly looking out there. If I close the curtain he just moves it again, like "how dare you obstruct my view?!"

He took a couple weeks to trust me to touch and pet him. He would flop on his side and flirt, but would get up and run under the furniture, then come back out when I would talk to him and say his name. He'd circle me on the floor, eventually getting closer, then let me touch him after bribing him with a Churu or two. He can get startled with unfamiliar noise, and retreat to a hiding spot. He is quick to come back out once the noise is over and you talk to him. He will probably always be a little flighty, but he had really benefited from having other cats. If he gets scared, I just leave him be or talk to him and reassure him that he is okay. Just respecting his space and letting him come to me

He is definitely food motivated, so that was very helpful in gaining his trust

Cupid is a beautiful kitty with a sweet face. Once he gets to know and trust you, he is very funny. His foster mom also said, "Cupid is SO naughty at night. Playing with toys literally on top of me and running over me. Plus knocking over things, and audibly chewing on things. Sooooo annoying." He really is a ham once he settles in.

Again, he must be adopted into a home with other friendly kitties. He does not do well on his own. He needs to comfort and security of other cats. He isn't a good match for a loud or busy household. Quiet and patient and kitty-savvy is the best match for this guy.

MORE DETAILS:
Inside-only home and must keep claws. The adoption fee for this kitty is $25. Each cat and kitten has been: altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies and distemper combo, microchipped, tested for FeLV (negative unless previously noted), and treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms.

We ask that interested parties fill out a cat adoption questionnaire only if you are seriously considering adopting this sweet kitty. You can get the application by going to our website at "http://www.panorapets.com/adopt"
and clicking on the "Cat Adoption Questionnaire" button at the top of the page. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, an adoption coordinator will contact you usually within 24 hours. Please be patient and thank you for your interest in this kitty.

P.E.T.S. supports the "Paws Need Claws" Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
