CROTON's Story
CROTON is barely past kittenhood and already has had a scary start to life. He was found as a stray and brought to us as he is so young, and the rescuer couldn't bear to see him out in the winter weather. However, he was very nervous and was not a fan of the young kids in the household.

As he is a stray, we do not know his history. We do not know how he would be with dogs or cats. He doesn't seem to pay much attention to the roommates, so far. He might be a little too active for young children but he might be ok with older children who understand that he has never known loving hands and CROTON is scared of new experiences. He can't be forced to trust, that will take time.
We have been working with him, and CROTON has gotten better about being petted and loved on but still can be easily overwhelmed. He can be very lovey and will allow you to hold him. CROTON is pretty much a blank slate. Once he understands that he is safe and will be cared for, he should blossom into being the young, curious teen he should be. But he is going to need a calm, patient home to help him reach his potential.

DOB-03/2025 Entered shelter-03/2026

If you are interested in adopting CROTON, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 for an appointment.
