Crixus's Story

Crixus is a 9-week-old female kitten who arrived at the shelter as a stray with her mom and siblings. She may be a bit shy at first, but she has a playful, curious side that comes out once she feels safe. With patience and gentle interactions, Crixus will continue to build confidence and thrive in a loving home.
She is litter box trained, microchipped, and has received her second of three FVRCP vaccinations. Her adopter will need to return to complete her vaccine series, and her spay will be scheduled at the time of adoption. If you're looking for a sweet kitten to grow and learn with, Crixus is ready to meet you.
Adoptions are 1st come 1st serve. We cannot hold animals.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
