Crescent's Story
[Courtesy Post]
In rescue, sometimes we struggle to come up with names for the cats we help rescue. In this little guy's case, it happened to be the phase of the moon when we got him off the street. Crescent is a nine-month-old gray-and-white kitten who was rescued after he had been cruelly abandoned to fend for himself in harsh, single-digit temperature. Once he realized he was in a safe place, he showed himself to be an affectionate boy who appreciated being rescued from such frigid, life-endangering conditions. Crescent is a friendly, engaging companion who clearly values the security and care he’s found, and he’s ready to bring warmth and connection to a home that will keep him safe and loved going forward. We haven’t seen him around dogs, other cats, or children yet, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids and dogs who know how to interact gently with cats. Crescent would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this little guy will gain a devoted companion for life. Crescent seems like an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

Crescent has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in Boston. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.
