Creamsicle

Creamsicle may be the best big brother at the shelter. This 3-year-old orange and white cat came to us in May after struggling in his outdoor colony. He needed part of his injured tail amputated, and for a while, he seemed to have lost his spark. Then he met the office kittens. Now he chases, wrestles, plays, and even checks on kittens still in their kennels. He loves being near people, too, often lounging on the front desk to watch the day go by.

Creamsicle has been adopted and returned twice because he paws at sleeping people's faces to wake them, which can leave scratches. He also plays rough and lets you know when he's had enough attention. We think he'd shine in a child-free home where he can sleep separately at night--or as a shop or office companion, keeping someone company during the day. He's neutered and ready for someone who understands his quirks and loves his big heart.

Adoption fee: $45. Visit East Ridge Animal Services Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., or on the first and third Saturday of the month.
