Crash's Story

Crash is a large, sweet orange boy with the classic big tomcat cheeks and the gentlest personality. We first met him hanging around an auto body repair shop, which is how he earned his name. When he was trapped over the summer, he wasn’t quite ready to come indoors. However, after his neuter and several months of consistent care, he has demonstrated that the inside life is the life for him!

Most recently, Crash was spending nights safely in the garage of his feeder, and he has become very comfortable with people. Now, he is inside 24/7 at a Jersey City holding space, waiting to move into his forever home. He enjoys being pet, relaxing by spreading out his abundant size, and truly seems ready for a home of his own. He is calm, friendly, and grateful for affection.

Crash is FIV+, which is very common for former outdoor tomcats. FIV is not a big deal for indoor cats: it cannot spread through casual contact, and FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. Many live peacefully with FIV-negative cats without issue.
Crash is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to settle into a quiet, loving home where he can finally enjoy being a companion instead of surviving outdoors. He would make a wonderful, easygoing friend for someone looking for a big, affectionate orange cat.

Crash deserves a warm home for the holidays — he is so ready for his next chapter.
