When he is ready for some fun, grab a wand toy and Cowboy is ready to play! He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and hoping his forever family comes along soon. Come meet Cowboy! <br/><br/>Cowboy tested positive for FIV (Feline immunodeficiency Virus).<br/><br/>Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives and they can live with other friendly cats. FIV is mainly spread through deep bite wounds, not through everyday contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, toys, or litter boxes.<br/><br/>If the cats in the home are friendly and not prone to fighting, the risk of transmission is extremely low. Many FIV+ cats live peacefully with FIV-negative cats for years without ever passing on the virus.<br/><br/>The most important thing is to maintain a calm, stable home and to make proper introductions, just like with any new cat.
