But the truth is… I’m more sweet than sinister, just like the chocolatey breakfast cereal.<br/><br/>I come from a very hard beginning. My littermates and I were found sealed inside a cardboard box, hidden in a donation bin outside the shelter. No one knows how long we were in there. We were scared, cramped, and left with almost nothing — just each other, a single towel, and a lonely feather.<br/><br/>Thankfully, we were rescued just in time. And now, we’re safe.<br/><br/>Out of the bunch, I’m the most cautious. I’m curious and affectionate — I’ll rub against your legs and follow you quietly — but when you reach down to pet me, I still get nervous and dart away. It’s not that I don’t want love… it’s just that I’m still figuring out how to feel safe receiving it.<br/><br/>But here’s the thing: once I know you, and realize that you mean me no harm… I melt. Slowly, carefully, completely. I become the sweet boy who leans into pets, who curls beside you, who trusts completely.<br/><br/>They say the shy ones love the hardest. I think that’s true — because when I choose you, it’s forever.<br/><br/>My fur is sleek and black like moonless midnight, and my heart. It’s all gold underneath. To prepare me for a fur-ever home, I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and litter trained.<br/><br/>If you have a quiet home and a little patience, I will meet you halfway.
