Cougar's Story

Cougar – 11-Year-Old Orange Beauty

Cougar has the kind of quiet presence that turns a house into a home. After losing the person she loved most, she's taken her time learning that new beginnings can still be gentle ones. Now, at 11 years young, this beautiful orange tabby is ready to find a peaceful place to land—somewhere soft, sunny, and steady, just like her spirit. With her adorably crinkled ear (a little souvenir from a recent ear infection), Cougar carries her story with quiet charm and grace.

Likes:

Sunny windowsills and cozy nap spots
Gentle pets, she loves head sratches and rubbing her face against yours.
Calm, predictable routines
Quiet companionship—she's your shadow, just a few feet away
Having her own space to relax and recharge

Dislikes:

Loud noises and busy environments
Other cats—she prefers to be your one and only
Frequent changes to her routine
Vet visits (who can blame her?)

Cougar isn't looking for a whirlwind—she's looking for a harbor. Paws 4 Life Animal Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
ADOPTION PROCESS Our goal is to match the right pet with the right adopter. This means we approach each adoption opportunity in a unique way. One of our adoption specialists will meet (in person, or by phone) with you to learn about your "ideal pet." We take into consideration lifestyle, family dynamic, desired personality traits and an adopter's overall objective in bringing a new pet into their home and make recommendations on which of our pets may be a good fit. ADOPTION SUPPORT We understand that bringing a new pet into your home can be a little stressful. It can take time for a new animal to settle in, and you may have questions about behavior or routine. When we adopt out a pet to a new home, we are available to answer any questions that come up - and to support the new adopter with any special needs they may have related to in-home adjustment. Because our pets are fostered in private homes, we can let you know what's normal, what's not and how to address any initial challenges you may have. FEES Adoption fees vary by animal, and take into consideration age, breed and other characteristics. We strive to keep adoption fees reasonable and many of our animals receive veterinary care at costs that far exceed the adoption fee. Adoption fees are listed on each animal's description. WHAT'S INCLUDED All of our adoptable animals receive age-appropriate vaccines, are spayed/neutered (at age-appropriate time), have a microchip and are tested for species-specific diseases. They also go home with a certificate for one month of FREE pet insurance through Trupanion.
