Cosmo's Story

I’m Cosmo and I’m truly out of this world! I was adopted from the shelter as a kitten, but my family brought me back after almost two years because they didn’t have enough time for me anymore. I'm almost 2 years old, and after losing my last family, I may need a little time to get comfortable with new people. However, with a little bit of patience, I’ll transform into the mushiest, loveliest boy in the universe! The best way to get me to warm up is with toys – I really love to chase a wand toy or a little mousey. During my time in the shelter, the medical staff discovered that I have feline asthma. I’ll need ongoing medication and the shelter will provide the first batch to get me started. I’ve been an only cat, but there’s a chance I can live with other pets in the future. Together we are stardust, so let’s get into each other’s orbit today!

Potential adopters are welcome to visit our public adoption floor. If they see a pet they are interested in, they fill out a survey on-site and then meet with an adoption counselor. The adoption counselor goes over the pet's information and if deemed an appropriate match, the adopter meets the pet. If all goes well, the pet can be taken home same day if medically cleared.
