I’m Cosmo, and I am truly out of this world! I was adopted from the shelter as a kitten, but my old family brought me back after almost two years because they didn’t have enough time for me anymore. <br/><br/>As you can imagine, I can be a little wary of new people since my last family gave up on me. However, with a couple minutes of patience, you’ll see me totally transform into the mushiest, loveliest boy in the universe! The best way to get me to warm up is with toys – I really love to chase a wand toy or a little mousey.<br/><br/>I was the only cat in my previous home, but there’s a chance I could live with other pets in the future. I’m looking to be someone’s whole world… can that be with you?

Monmouth County SPCA's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters are welcome to visit our public adoption floor. If they see a pet they are interested in, they fill out a survey on-site and then meet with an adoption counselor. The adoption counselor goes over the pet's information and if deemed an appropriate match, the adopter meets the pet. If all goes well, the pet can be taken home same day if medically cleared.
