Corkie Baby's Story

Meet Cork —a gentle, tender soul still hoping to find his forever home.

Cork first came to us with his mama and his sister when he was about three months old. In the beginning, Cork and his sister were so frightened they couldn’t even be touched—they would scream at the top of their lungs if anyone came near. But their mama was the sweetest, most loving cat you could ever meet, and I knew that same goodness had to be tucked somewhere inside her babies, just waiting for a chance to shine.

Over time, Cork has slowly blossomed. He’s learned what love feels like. He’s learned that hands can give soft pets, that laps can be warm and safe, and that people can be gentle. He still gets scared now and then and will scamper away, but the moment he realizes he’s safe, he comes right back for more affection—head butts, cuddles, and all the sweetest little purrs you could imagine.

Cork is absolutely a work in progress, but in the most beautiful way. In the last six months, he’s transformed into a loving, sensitive, wonderfully tender boy. At almost a year old, he’s still very much a kitten at heart—playful, curious, and full of hope.

He’s looking for a patient, understanding home, one that will give him the time and compassion he needs to fully trust. And when he does, he will repay that kindness tenfold—with endless affection, gentle snuggles, and a heart that loves deeply.

Cork truly is a sweetheart, and he’s so ready for the person who will see the gentle soul he’s becoming.
