Corey's Story
Meet Corey - the little 1-year-old void who will undoubtedly light up your life!

The first thing to know about Corey is he is as friendly as friendly can be. If you've ever wanted a cat with a 'dog personality' he is your man! Corey called in his own rescue. Our rescue's founder was working from home when she heard crying outside her window, in a nearby parking lot. When she went to check the situation out, a very skinny and scraped up Corey came racing over, flopping at her feet for belly rubs and showing off his best roly-poly moves. Parking lot attendants explained he had shown up out of the blue a week earlier and never left.

In his foster home, Corey has proven to be a friendly and confident boy. He greets guests at the door, loves curling up in his fosters laps for attention, and will follow them from room to room. "He's always looking for his people," they say. "He's the best cuddle bug."

The second thing to know about Corey is that he is very playful and energetic. Corey needs a home where his owners will dedicate time to playing all his favorite games. He loves to play "catch" with small toys, leap in the air for ribbon dancers, and has never met a puzzle feeder he could not solve!

Corey is also a fast learner - his fosters have begun teaching him tricks and basic commands like recall. This isn't hard because Corey is very food motivated. He will do almost anything for a treat, including stealing a snack if it's left out on the counter so beware! The plus side of his food motivation is that he's easily trained and will happily let you trim his nails for the price of a churu.

Corey would thrive in a home where he can get the love and play he deserves. Corey would do very well in a house with friendly dogs, young and energetic cats, and small children. Because he brings "dog energy" to his home, we've found he does best with young kittens but not other adult cats.

Corey is 1 year old with a clean bill of health. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, treated for fleas/parasites, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative. His fosters have found he does best on beef/fish proteins, as chicken makes him itchy.

----
To learn more about Corey and set up a meet-and-greet, submit an application here: https://forms.gle/GAM6uNNgk7h7wBEy8
