Corey's Story

Hi there, I’m Corey!

I’m a super sweet, super gentle & quiet dude. I am looking for someone with some patience and love for me and to show me that I am worth it. No one wanted me as a black, adult cat that had to be kept quarantined for 6 months. That’s when my rescuers stepped in just in the nick of time and made an agreement with the county to have animal control check on me once a month from a foster home.

Well, I have officially made it through those long 6 months and get to start looking for a forever home of my own! Hi there, I’m Corey!

I’m a super sweet, super gentle & quiet dude. I am looking for someone with some patience and love for me and to show me that I am worth it. I’m pretty shy and insecure, so I just have to be reminded now and then that I am deserving of love.

I was found by a Good Samaritan after having survived a coyote attack. I was brought to shelter to seek help for my injuries, but unfortunately, any animal attacked by wildlife has to go through a mandatory 6 month long quarantine for rabies.

Shelter didn’t have space to hold me that long, so even though I survived the attack, I was then put on the shelter euthanasia list.
