Cordelia's Story

Meet Cordelia! This senior tabby girl is seeking a patient and loving home to live out her golden years. Cordelia will need a warm and gentle adopter who can offer her a quiet, safe space to land. With time, love, and consistency, we believe she’ll come out of her shell and learn to trust her chosen people. She’s not ready for the spotlight just yet—but if you’ve got a big heart and a soft place for a soul in need, Cordelia might just be your perfect match.

Cordelia came to the shelter with some discoloration in her left eye. Our veterinarian determined that Cordelia is not showing signs of discomfort, and this may be her normal coloring or the result of a previous condition. Her new family are advised to monitor her and seek care post-adoption, as needed. Cordelia is going home with a $500 credit at Pender Veterinary Clinic, and her adoption is fee-waived! The $500 credit at Pender is provided by the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter (FFCAS)! Cordelia is also eligible for a 14-day Adoption Audition, to see if she it right fit for your home. Come meet and take home lovely Cordelia the cat, today!

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 14-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
