Cookie's Story

Hi! I'm Cookie! I am a weathered-looking kitty, and that's just part of my story. I am a sweet, but scared boy, having lived in a hoarding house for many years. I was actually the very last kitty removed from the home. I was kitty #40! I lived in the basement, and one day I happened to get into an interior storage room and they couldn't find me. They were worried about me so much and if I was OK! They were able to get me and bring me into the shelter to get the love and care I needed. (They think that maybe chemicals got onto my fur, and that's why I have some nakey skin down my neck.) I will now eat licky treats off your finger, but I am still learning to receive attention from humans. When it's quiet at the shelter, with few people around, I have been known to check out the toys and start playing! I'm still really learning to be a cat, and so far I think I like it! I would like to go home with another one of my hoarding kitty friends. We've all been through a lot together, and having a forever home to call our own would make us feel like the luckiest kitties ever. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Included in our adoption fee, all of our kitties are vaccinated, FELV / FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, spayed / neutered, and checked out by a veterinarian.
