FIP SURVIVOR! Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a devastating, historically fatal disease in cats caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus, typically affecting cats aged six months to five years. It causes severe, widespread inflammation, presenting in "wet" (fluid buildup in chest/abdomen), "dry" (organ inflammation), or combined forms. While once considered untreatable, antiviral medications have made FIP manageable! Comet was treated for 'wet' FIP from Jan 2025 to Apr 2025. And she's feeling great! Sweet Comet is a quiet and calm girl who loves treats and other cats. She would enjoy a quiet home and sitting on the couch with you.
