Comet's Story

Bonjour, my name is Comet! I was rescued by a lovely gentleman who brought me to Friends of Cats because I am FIV+ and he couldn't keep me with his other kitty at home! I'm a sweet boy, a little shy at first but I love being pet and brushed so if you give me some attention I'll warm up right away! My FIV doesn't get in the way of my life - I'm still healthy and happy, I just have to be kept separate from other FIV negative cats and my new owners would have to make sure I didn't contract any other illnesses as my immune system isn't very strong - biannual vet check-ups are encouraged! I am longing for a comfortable indoor home where I can relax - I'm not too keen on the other FIV+ cats I live with (mostly because some of them are being a bit alpha!) but I might do well with just one other cat, but they would also have to be FIV+ too. I'd do great in a home by myself where I can soak up all the attention and cuddles! I would probably be nervous around excitable little kids but calm older children or a quiet home environment would suit me just fine. If you'd like to come and meet me, contact Friends of Cats via the Start your Inquiry button to the right, or ask at the desk when you come to visit to be shown out to the FIV Annex building! I can't wait to meet you and become part of your family!
