COLTON's Story
JUNE 2026

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.

COLTON, his mom (BETTI BOOPERS) and her 3 siblings (LYNX, BEBE & TIGGER) were living in a bad hoarding situation in Bakersfield, California. They were living off a dangerous street and people were actually poisoning the cats there. A group of rescuers helped all the cats involved and called us to take these babies.

These poor guys were so skinny, dirty and scared. And when COLTON came to our rescue, we discovered he was very social. COLTON is a sweet boy. He has found toys and likes to play. He loves ear and belly rubs. And you can't help but fall in love with his little face that looks so sweet. And he is very sweet and a bit shy.

COLTON and his sister BEBE were adopted together. And to their dismay, their dad passed away. We were called to pick them up and the rescue mama ran to get them. It has been a very hard journey for them.

Meet COLTON, a young feline with a personality as unique as his name. He's sweet and mellow, a perfect companion for those quiet afternoons. COLTON is independent, yet adorably goofy, showing bravery in his playful pursuits. Despite his shyness, he's incredibly gentle and smart, often surprising us with his antics.

Timid at first, he's quick to warm up, especially if there's wet food involved. COLTON has a soft spot for cuddling with other cats, making him a great addition to a multi-cat household. With his blend of playful energy and mellow cuddliness, COLTON is sure to bring joy to any home. Adopt COLTON and experience the love and laughter this unique cat can bring to your life.

COLTON is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. He is about 5 years and 3 months old. He is good with cats. He is non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around children.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2.
