Colonel's Story

Meet Colonel – Your Future Furry Commander of Fun!

Colonel is a 10-month-old (as of 03/2026) black beauty with a heart full of curiosity and a playful spirit that shines once he feels safe. Though he may be a little shy at first, give him a moment and you'll discover a bouncy, spring-toy-chasing bundle of joy who’s ready to brighten your days.

Colonel is one of five kittens that was rescued from a garage along with their mama, and Big Tex, who is also available for adoption!

This sleek little panther thrives in the company of other playful pets—he gets along wonderfully with cats and dogs who share his love for games, chase, and gentle companionship. Colonel’s favorite pastime? Batting around spring toys like a pro and showing off his acrobatic moves in the coziest corners of your home. Colonel is very playful his feline foster siblings, but his 50lb canine foster sister is by far his favorite playmate. He’s happy to pass the time watching CatTV, climbing the cat tree, or hiding in the nooks and crannies of your home (like under the sheets on your bed!)

Colonel would do best in a home that understands his need for a gentle introduction and offers plenty of playtime and snuggly spots. He would love to have a furry companion or two, but would prefer a home without young kids. If you're looking for a sweet, social, and entertaining feline friend, Colonel is ready to report for duty!

Colonel is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is FIV/FeLV negative.

*To apply for Colonel (you must have at least one friendly young cat or kitten in your house!), please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *

Catcalls Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please thoroughly read the following information about adopting a Catcalls Rescue cat/kitten before applying. Must be 21+ to apply. Fill out the form thoroughly. The more information you provide, the better! Incomplete forms will not be considered. Please do not apply on a whim! Out of consideration for the time and energy of our volunteers, we ask that you apply only when certain that you are ready and able to adopt. We cannot hold cats/kittens for adoption. Kittens do best when they have a friend! Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes with existing pets. All current pets in applicants’ homes must be spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cats in the home must be FIV/FeLV tested. Safety is a priority at Catcalls Rescue, so a virtual or in-person home check will be completed prior to adoption to make sure your furry friend will be safe and comfortable in their new environment! All Catcalls Rescue cats and kittens come with health records and are dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped. Please note that due to a high volume of applications, you may not receive a response. We will reach out to applicants that are best suited for each feline within one week of receiving their application. **Emails asking us if we have received apps only slows up the process for everyone. We can't respond to those any faster than we can respond to a good application! Please keep that in mind! If you are the best fit for our kitties, you will absolutely hear from us! Thank you!**
