Coleslaw and Cornbread's Story

Meet Coleslaw and Cornbread, a bonded pair of kitten sisters! They are approximately 4 months old and are almost twins! They were rescued from behind a BBQ joint in south Seattle.

Coleslaw is an active and playful female short haired tabby. She likes to play with feather toys and look out the window following the birds and squirrels in the yard. Coleslaw is curious about people but still shies away from too much attention. We think that slow movements, soft voices, and patience will help gain her trust and love.

Cornbread is an observant female short haired tabby. She is a little darker and a little more cautious than her sister but when the wand toys come out her rambunctious and playful nature is on full display as she jumps, tumbles, and wrestles with her toys. When she subdues her toys she proudly carries them into her cat tunnel where she wrestles them into submission.

Together they are a sweet and energetic pair. Their foster mom can pet them while they are eating and when they are asleep in their cat bed. They love to chase each other and hunt spring toys together. When they get tired, you'll find them snuggled up together.

Coleslaw and Cornbread are still learning to trust people, but are growing in confidence. They are very neat and tidy kittens! They have perfect litter box habits, they keep their food area clean, and they groom each other at night as they prepare for bed.

These two beauties will need a calm environment and a patient adopter who will spend time with them so the kitties can continue to feel safe and comfortable.

What Coleslaw and Cornbread are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have no known history with other cats.
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in Coleslaw and Cornbread!
