MEET COLBY JACK!

This beautiful chonky girl is named Colby! She joined City of Elderly Love after being brought to Philadelphia's animal control shelter as a stray at the estimated age of 8 years. This girl was obviously being fed A LOT by someone but unfortunately, no one came looking for her. She's now in foster care where she's thriving and beginning to drop some unnecessary lbs. Colby is ready to spread her metaphoric wings and find her forever home!

This sweet girl has settled into foster care nicely and has been showing her foster mom her sassy side as well! She's very much a "people's cat" and will happily follow you around the house to see what you're up to. And to provide lap warmth and a cuddle whenever you'd like. Though she may be older and "thicc", Colby still loves a good play session, especially when she can swat at a feather wand or piece of string! She also isn't afraid to let you know when she's had enough pets or doesn't like where you are petting so we'd recommend a home without young kids. She is currently living with other cats in foster care and stays to herself but is also fine with sharing her space with them. 

When Colby arrived at the shelter, she was so chubby that she had a hard time grooming herself and needed to have a large mat shaved from her back. She also had a full veterinary workup and blood work shows that she's a healthy girl! She did, however, need a dental cleaning badly so her pearly whites are now pearly white again. Colby should remain on an appropriate diet so she can continue to lose some weight.
