Coconut's Story

Coconut is a sweet, tenderhearted kitten about 6.5 months old who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. He is on the shy side and loves spending his days tucked into a favorite hiding spot, napping and watching things quietly from a distance.

When approached, Coconut may hiss at first. It is his way of saying he is unsure, not unkind. Once he realizes you are friendly, he relaxes quickly and welcomes pets. With a little patience, his affectionate side shines through. He loves head bumps, leans into gentle scratches, and will happily roll over to show his tummy when he feels comfortable.

Coconut does startle easily with sudden movements, so he would do best in a calm home with adults or older children who can move slowly and let him set the pace. In the right environment, with time and consistency, he has the potential to become a very loving companion.

Coconut is positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and will need to be isolated from cats without FeLV. It is the regressive form, so his prognosis is good.
