Cocoa is a very playful and independent girl, she's very spunky and will pounce on/play with her treats. She's a diva who will accept pets on her own terms, she loves to be up high or cuddled in a fluffy bed. She sometimes gets spooked easily but that doesn't stop her curiosity and love for exploring.Head rubs have become her favorite. Her favorite toys are cat cubes, anything she can chase, jingle balls and springs, She would love to go home with one of her foster mates, Waffle or Pancake. She would also do well going to a home with another younger cat that still likes to play. APPLICATION To apply for a dog or cat through RAIN rescue, we will supply the appropriate link to the adoption application form in the ad info for each animal. You must fill that out very thoroughly, including photo’s of the primary living areas, sleeping quarters, as well as the yard (for dogs). We require veterinary information, and at least two references. If you rent we will always verify your pet lease info. With your property management. Every question on the application has a purpose, please take the time to fill out every question, it matters. We will only contact you back if your application is approved and a good fit for the animal! Check the cat’s profile to verify if they are at one of those locations. BACKGROUND CHECK If your application is accepted, we will do a pre-screening to verify basic information, after which, we will refer to our screener who will make phone calls and report her assessment. MEETING The process is rather quick. Once the screening is complete if you have been approved, we will notify you that you have been chosen as a new RAIN family member, and we will correspond to make sure it is a good match. The last major step is to set up a meet and greet. If the meeting goes well, you take home your new friend. We do accept, and prescreen, back up applications. We would like a one week update to make sure all is going well. ADOPTION FEES: Payment methods preferred are Venmo or PayPal, but cash or check is ok too, if you prefer. There is an adoption agreement, which your Adoption Rep will go over with you. You may request this form in advance. All adoption funds go to pulling, vetting, and transporting more dogs from high kill shelter and are usually non-refundable. Your contribution is so greatly appreciated.
