Cocoa's Story

Cocoa was surrendered to Laps and Naps because her person has medical issues that prevent her from providing the care Cocoa needs and she moved out of state and could not take Cocoa.

Cocoa was adopted from an animal shelter and is estimated to be 13½ years old. When she first came home, she was very shy and spent time tucked under the sofa. With patience and love, she has blossomed into a gentle companion who purrs, rubs ankles, follows her person from room to room, and loves sitting on the arm of a chair 🖤

Cocoa is not picky and after trying many toys and fancy beds, Cocoa has decided her favorites are running through the house and napping on a simple cushion covered with a towel 🐾

Cocoa is in good health, and is up to date on vaccinations. She has not been around children, dogs, or other cats since being adopted so we don't know how she will react.

Do you have an available lap for this sweet girl?

A home visit is sometimes conducted and, if the adopter is approved, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the cat (s)he is interested in adopting. If it's a good match, the adopter pays the adoption fee, signs an adoption contract, and the cat goes to its new home.
