Cocoa's Story

Cocoa is a 2-year-old all-black queen with a heart full of sass and a serious love for carbs. She came into our care as a young mom and, well... motherhood wasn't exactly her calling. But she did her best, and now that her kittens are grown, it's Cocoa's time to shine. Now living at the shelter, Cocoa is thriving and showing us just how loving and quirky she really is. She has FeLV (feline leukemia virus), which means she'll need to be the only cat or live with other FeLV+ kitties-but she's otherwise healthy and living her best life. She gets along well with respectful dogs and kids, and she does well with other cats as long as they share her FeLV status. Cocoa likes to take things slow when meeting new people, but once she's comfortable, her personality bursts through. She's got main character energy, a weakness for bread products (yes, seriously), and an impressive belief that kitchen counters were made just for her. She'll make you laugh every day and keep your life just the right amount of unpredictable. If you love a funny little rebel with soft fur, big opinions, and a sweet side she saves for her favorites, Cocoa might just be your perfect match.
