CLYDE's Story

The 2 senior cats I was living with found it difficult to share space with me. I am now at the shelter. Life took a hard turn for me. The sounds of the shelter are difficult; I am doing my best at coping. I am 15 pounds. It is hard to try and hide in a cage when you are a big cat! I like when someone stops and talks to me. I try to roll in appreciation, but rolling is difficult too in my cage. I enjoy gentle patting and kind words. An act of kindness takes away my fear for a brief time. I would like a quiet home with people who have had cat experience, and who would like to share their home with a gentle big cat like me! Taunton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
**PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET PETS AT THE SHELTER. 508-822-1463** Adopt a "best friend" for life! Please remember that dogs and cats of all ages need and deserve happiness, love, and a home. In return, they will love you unconditionally for all of your years together. We adopt to New England Residents only and require current/past veterinarian references. An application is REQUIRED to adopt an animal. Vet references will be checked, as well as references for those who rent. Adoption of an animal will be based on APPROVED applications only. We do not accept debit/credit cards. Payment must be check or money order with proper ID or cash. If submitting an application for a dog, please email it to rdanielczyk@taunton-ma.gov or gasman6637@icloud.com Dogs are $200.00 and cats are $165.00 (kittens up to 6 months are $185.00). This price includes the spay/neuter, rabies shot, and other required vaccinations.
