Clover's Story
Meet Clover

Five of his siblings have already found their homes.

Clover thinks it's about time somebody noticed him.

Clover was one of six kittens born after a Good Samaritan took in their very shy, pregnant mama from the streets. Their mother wasn't accustomed to close relationships with people, so her kittens began life a little less certain about humans than kittens raised by a confident, highly social family cat might be.

But uncertain doesn't mean uninterested.

Clover is showing us that every day.

He's a very sweet, gentle boy with a playful side and quite a lot to say. He's comfortable around other cats, loves to play, and is one of those shy-room residents who may surprise you by being considerably chattier than his reserved first impression suggests.

Clover can startle when someone approaches him unexpectedly and may initially move somewhere that feels safer. Give him a moment, though, and there's an important difference: he isn't trying to disappear from human life.

When Clover is relaxed and feels secure, he can be approached and petted. He's learning to enjoy attention and showing more and more interest in connecting with people.

What he needs now is something the busy environment of a cat cafe can't completely replicate: his own people.

People he sees every day. A predictable routine. A home where footsteps become familiar instead of belonging to another new visitor. The opportunity to learn, at his own pace, that he doesn't have to wonder who's coming through the door next.

Clover would do wonderfully with another friendly cat and may benefit from having a feline companion as he settles in.

He doesn't need someone to teach him how to be a different cat.

He just needs someone who'll give this sweet, playful, chatty boy enough time to become completely comfortable being himself. Come meet him at the Second Cup Cat Cafe.

-----------------------------------------

If you're interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
