Cloud lived in a horrific situation with a plethora of cats in a home. 9 were surrendered to rescue, with Cloud being one of them. The other 8 went to other rescues, but Mattie's Place covered the cost for all their vetting before being transferred out.<br/><br/>Cloud arrived a very scared and uncertain boy to Mattie's Place. But his foster family has put the work in to gain his trust and as he settles into a home filled with love without all the chaos and filth he lived his life in, an beautiful and gentle cat emerged from the storm and he truly has become a feline companion.<br/><br/>Cloud has been neutered, vaccinated, FELV / FIV tested, microchipped and has received parasite prevention with dewormer. <br/><br/>He's a healthy, happy 3 year old boy. WEIGHT: 4.8 KG / 10.5 POUNDS<br/><br/>Cloud does well with the resident cats and dogs in foster care and is just a super adjusted, good cat that is ready to leave the horrors of his life behind him and have an incredible life for many years to come.<br/><br/>I'm looking for a quiet home for Cloud. Another gentle and kind resident cat would be okay or he can be solo if his humans are home more often than not. No young kids as I don't think he's into a busy kid household vibe. A super cat friendly dog would likely be fine for Cloud. He can also be a solo cat. A home that has a lot of bright outdoor light and windows he can perch up in would be a bonus. <br/><br/><br/>FROM THE FOSTER<br/><br/>This sweet boy may start out a little shy, but don’t let that fool you—there’s a confident, loving heart just waiting to shine. With slow, controlled introductions, a quiet setting, and a few tasty treats, he opened up quickly and showed us who he really is: a total love bug who adores snuggles and spending quality time with his people.<br/><br/>Once he trusts you, he’s all about affection. He loves being brushed, loves to play, and has the cutest little chirp-meow that he uses to show appreciation and love. It’s impossible not to melt when you hear it.<br/><br/>He’s doing great with all the important stuff—he uses the litter box perfectly, eats and drinks well (though he definitely prefers a water fountain), and settles nicely into his routine.<br/><br/>He’s met resident cats in controlled settings and has done wonderfully with them. He genuinely enjoys having them visit his space and seems to appreciate their company. He’s also met a small-to-medium sized dog. While he was a bit more cautious than with the cats, he was curious, touched noses, and even rubbed up against her. Dog noises don’t bother him at all—barking and playing don’t faze him one bit.<br/><br/>This boy will thrive in a patient, loving home that lets him set the pace—and once he does, you’ll be rewarded with endless affection, snuggles, and that adorable little chirp. <br/><br/>-----------------------<br/>To note: the above description is relevant to this cat in their current & previous setting.
