Cleveland (FIV+)'s Story
Cleveland was being cared for as a stray and showed that he really wanted to be an inside cat. The caregiver was unable to keep him so she allowed us to find a good home for him. He was shy at first, but turned out to be the sweetest cat. Cleveland is very vocal and will let you know when he feels like he is being ignored. He gets along with other cats and loves snuggling and being loved on.

Cleveland tested positive for FIV, although he doesn’t show any signs of it slowing him down. FIV cats are immunocompromised, but can live long lives. Adopter will need to be prepared for extra potential medical needs down the road. FIV cats can live with non FIV cats as the risk of spreading it is extremely low when they are fixed.

Cleveland has been fostered in the same room as Misty, another special needs kitty with FIV. They have been getting along great, if anyone would be gracious enough to adopt them both, but that is not a requirement.

foster: chcl

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

$300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.
