Cleo's Story

Cleo came to Pet Pals as a new mom who had recently weaned her 2 kittens (Thor and Loki). At her vet check, it was discovered that she had a horrible ear mite infestation and mastitis in two of her mammary glands, so she was in a lot of pain. As a result, she was on oral antibiotic and ear rinse/treatments, which has made her very cautious around people due to having meds put in her ears. Cleo will let you pet her, and even pick her up for short amounts of times, however, right now, she just enjoys being in the room with her people and sitting high upon her cat tree to survey her domain. She loves to play with toys, chase her foster brother back and forth and sit by the window to watch the world around her. She is friendly, with occasional Tortitude sass, but honestly, who can blame her. She has been through a LOT. She currently lives with a small kitten and a male cat in her foster home. She will play with both on her terms.

Once Cleo gets settled in her forever home, she will come out of her shell. She is already starting to jump on the bed and will sit on her foster's chest for a few pets before she moves on. I truly suspect she is going to bond with her new people and will end up being a great cat!
