Clementine - FOSPICE NEEDED's Story
This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative.
Meet Clementine, a sweet 14-year-old front declawed cat who is currently in need of a fospice home. Despite her age, Clementine still has a lot of love and life left in her. Unfortunately, Clementine has been diagnosed with the calicivirus which can cause respiratory infections, oral ulcers, and other health issues. As a result, she requires special care and attention to keep her comfortable and healthy. Since this is contagious to other cats, she should be the only cat. Despite her health challenges, Clementine is a sweet, independent cat who enjoys being brushed. She has a gentle and mellow personality and is happy to spend her days napping, cuddling and watching the world go by. Her new family should be willing to administer medication if needed and give plenty of love and attention. If you are looking for a sweet and loving cat to add to your family, consider fostering or adopting Clementine. With your help, she can live out the rest of her days in comfort and happiness.
The Gift of Life: Fospice Care Needed for Clementine Can you open your heart and your home to a special needs pet? Can you provide comfort in a stress-free environment and just love them? You give your heart; we provide the food and medical care. These pets do not deserve to live out their lives in a cage. They have so much love to give.
Requirements: You must be able drive a car and be willing to transport the animal in case of an emergency either to a designated vet or back to the shelter. You must be able to spend quality time with the animal. Your home environment should fit the needs of the animal. If you are interested in providing fospice care to one of our animals, please email info@jerseyshoreanimalcenter.org
*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.
