Claudia's Story

Meet Claudia! Claudia lived in a foster home for the first 10 years of her life, along with her sister, Candace, and several other unrelated cats. Unfortunately, this year she suffered a massive culture shock when her foster had to give up fostering for health reasons. Claudia spent most of her time hiding under her bed or in her litterbox, and telling us to get lost in no uncertain terms. Her naturally grumpy face didn’t help her case.

After we have spent more time with her, though, she has started to come out of her shell, and returned to the affectionate cat her foster described to us. Claudia is very sweet. She loves to do the “elevator butt” when getting scritches, or prance around to make sure we’re getting her whole body. When she’s feeling brave, she will venture out of her kennel to come sit in our laps and purr. She’s a dainty little princess at heart, and she is finally able to show it. Once she's comfortable with someone, she is a super sweet girl with so much love to give.

Claudia has lived with many cats before, and done well. We would not recommend her for a home with small kids or dogs.

She is 10 years old as of October 2025. She has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $10.60.

If you are interested in adopting this particular dog or puppy, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
