MEET CLAUDE!

This handsome gentleman is named Claude!  Claude is a 10-12 year old kitty who was found as a stray in Philly and brought to the animal control shelter. He was in pretty bad shape with wounds to his face and really needed some TLC and vet care so City of Elderly Love welcomed him to the rescue so we could get him back on track! He's made a full recovery and is ready to find a loving retirement home with a family looking for a chatty, funny little shadow!

Claude loves to be with his people and will lay with you, solicit pets and follow you around the house! He doesn't love being picked up, but doesn't hesitate to climb in your lap while you're on the couch! He loves to chat and has the cutest little meow to get your attention. Sometimes when he'd like some attention, he'll use his paw to grab your arm or hand and give you "love bites" so you know what he's asking for! Luckily, he only has a few teeth in his older age. Despite being a senior cat by age, he has great energy and loves to play with toys, especially cat wands! He's got a healthy appetite and loves his wet food. 

Claude is currently living in foster care with other cats and does well with them after an appropriate slow introduction. He is also living with older kids which we think he'd prefer since he does sometimes use his mouth to tell you what he'd like (food, pets, attention). If there's one thing we're sure of is that Claude HATES DOGS. Maybe it's from his history as a street cat, but he's never met a dog he'll back down from. Because of this, he'll need a dog-free home.

Claude has received a full veterinary workup since coming to the rescue and his diagnostics show he's a healthy dude! He has been neutered and received a dental while under sedation. He's ready to ship out to his new home!
