Do you ever feel like maybe you’re not cut out for adulting and you need a keeper? A supervisor? Someone to keep you on track?<br/><br/>Well, Clarice is here to apply for that position.<br/><br/>This little busybody is here to inspect your refrigerator when you open it, to follow you around and be sure you’re doing all your household tasks correctly, and to watch over your shoulder (literally) when you work from home. She’s a girl with things to do and places to go, who knows what she wants and when she wants it, and she’s not putting up with any guff from the likes of you!<br/><br/>In all seriousness, Clarice is a fun kitty companion but a cat who likes things done on her terms. She’s a cat person’s cat! While she’s not a lap cat, she does like to be with her human most of the day, and she especially enjoys perching on the back of my office chair when I work from home. She’s very outgoing and will trot right up to greet any human visitors. She’s super playful and loves toys, and is very affectionate, but again, likes it to be on her terms. Full disclosure, she will give warning swats or nips if you DON’T do things on her terms… like if you pet her for longer than she thinks appropriate. She does require a healthy sense of humor and a willingness to let a cat be a cat! (Like I said, cat person’s cat!)<br/><br/>Clarice is about 3 years old. She has a beautiful “tabbico” (tabby with tortoiseshell highlights) coat and amazingly long whiskers! She does occasionally have a case of “resting grumpy face,” but don’t let that fool you. <br/><br/>Clarice doesn’t seem terribly interested in interacting much with other cats and kind of prefers to do her own thing, but she seems OK with sharing space, so she would likely do fine with another independent cat or two. She is also currently living with a cat friendly dog, and although she doesn’t really want to be friends, she’s fine sharing space with other cat-friendly canines.<br/><br/>Clarice would not be a good match for young children, but teenagers and up should be OK if they respect her boundaries. <br/><br/>If you enjoy an uber-feline personality, Clarice will make a great companion!
