Clara's Story
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

**Adoption Interest Form REQUIRED via our website Rarerescue.org**

Meet Clara — a stunning black beauty with a heart full of sweetness!
Clara is an absolutely gorgeous black kitten who is as affectionate as she is playful. She loves to explore, chase toys, wrestle with her sisters, and then curl up for cozy cuddles—especially at bedtime. She bonds quickly with people and brings warmth and joy wherever she goes.

Clara is litter box trained, great with other cats, and does wonderfully with calm, cat-friendly dogs. She would be thrilled to have a feline sibling or playful friend in her new home, but she also loves human companionship and is always eager for pets, snuggles, and attention.

Clara does have the feline herpes virus, which is extremely common in cats (many carry it without symptoms). For her, it simply means she occasionally has watery eyes and sometimes needs a bit of ointment—something she handles beautifully and without fuss. With basic management, she can live a long, healthy, happy life just like any other kitten.

Clara has two adorable sisters, Mayari (gray) and Mariel (a uniquely marked brown tabby), and any of them would make a wonderful pair—but Clara will thrive in any loving home.

If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, playful kitten who will adore you endlessly, Clara just might be your perfect match.

Ready to meet her?
Submit an Adoption Application at rarerescue.org!

ADOPTION FEES: Our Adoption Fees vary based on adoptability to help all of the animals in our organization. Please make sure to read the adoption fee below in the bio.

STEPS TO ADOPT:

Read the adoptable’s bio below, including their adoption fee

Go to RARErescue.org and Read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section

Complete the CAT ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org)

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The CAT ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.

All of our Adoptables are:

*Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines (age appropriate); On flea prevention; De-wormed; FELV/FIV tested; Microchipped prior to adoption

Visit our website/Click on Adopt to "APPLY" today! RARErescue.org

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
