Clara's Story

Meet Clara! She is a domestic medium hair cat that came to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS.

Clara was extremely shy upon intake and for many months after, however she has begun to come out of her shell, and we've learned she would not thrive in a barn home as previously thought. Clara really enjoys and depends on the company of other cats, and they help her to feel safe and welcome in her home.

At times, Clara does seek attention and affection from her foster. She is increcibly small, timid, and fearful but if given the right chance with a family who has the patience to let her settle, she could be a wonderful companion. She comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $50 and includes her medical records and a sample of the food she's been eating. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application. Thank you!

Murci's Mission 's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to apply with Murci's Mission! We are a foster based 501c3 that specializes in animals with medical and behavioral needs. We do not have a facility or set hours of operation. To be considered to adopt with us, your first step will be to submit an adoption application. From there we will read through our application and make sure that we feel like you and your household will be a good match for your desired pet. If we feel that you are a good match, we will contact you via phone or email to ask any questions we may have and to let you know that we are beginning the process of screening your application. We will then call your references and vet, and finally schedule a meet and greet with you at a time that works for you at your place of residence where we will perform a brief homecheck to ensure there are no immediate dangers to the pet. In most cases, adoption can take place at the end of the meet and greet. For particularly shy pets, or pets that may need more time to warm up to resident animals, additional meet and greets may need to take place. We look forward to meeting you and thank you immensely for choosing to adopt.
