Cindy Lou's Story

To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile

https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston

Cindy Lou is a gentle, affectionate senior cat looking for her final home. After thirteen years in a loving home, her owner had to go into assisted living and couldn’t keep Cindy Lou any longer. Lou Lou, as she’s affectionately known, quickly settled into her foster home and carved a place in her foster volunteer’s heart. Then, she started feeling unwell. A trip to the vet later and we learned that Cindy Lou has cancer in her abdomen. After some work with the vet, we’ve found a combination of food and low-cost medication that keeps her comfortable. Possibly related to her illness, she has on rare occasions defecated just outside the litter box, though she consistently urinates inside it. Her current foster volunteer says taking care of her is incredibly easy and “I feel so lucky to take care of her.” Now Lou Lou is ready for her final home, for however long that may be while she battles cancer.

If you want a best friend in cat form, Cindy Lou is waiting! She loves helping out with chores, making sure you brush your teeth, and hanging out. And she doesn’t slack on her grooming either; if you bring out the brush she runs over! When friends come over she’ll say hi and may even pick favorites. But don’t worry, her main caretaker is always Lou Lou’s favorite. In fact, she’d probably be happy if it was just you and her most of the time. When she’s not by your side, you can find her enjoying the fresh air and people watching next to an open window. At night, she loves to sleep with you and may even get underneath the covers (you can only tell by her white nose poking out)!

Do you love cuddly cats, want to be greeted at the door, and have lots of fluffy pillows? If the answer is yes then Cindy Lou would love to share the rest of her life with you.

To learn more about adopting this cat in Massachusetts, please visit www.blackcatrescue.com or fill out an Adoption Profile at https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston.
