Cindy's Story

I can be very shy and reclusive when arriving in a new home, I need a quiet home with a person or family who will let me come out of my shell in my own time. I am reluctant to trust new people and need time to adjust. As I have become used to life here at Safe Haven I have become more outgoing and willing to let people I know pet and brush me, but I am know to get spicy without warning...sort of like Dr. Jekyll and Mrs. Hyde. I will require a great deal of patience and understanding from my furever parents, if you are up to the challenge please consider putting in an application for me today.

This 4 year old purrfect feline’s adoption donation is $75 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, flea/tick preventative, and dewormer. Please fill out an adoption application at www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any further questions, please email safehaven1471@gmail.com or call 815-858-2265.

Safe Haven's Adoption Policy
Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
